Three Local chapters ·re coordinated by Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity, conduct building site selection, fund raising, partner family selection and support, house construction, and mortgage servicing.· The local chapters are:

Randolph Chapter
serving Randolph, Brookfield, Braintree and surrounding communities.

Barre-Montpelier Chapter
serving Barre City, Barre Town, Montpelier, Berlin, Northfield, Williamstown, Washington, Orange, Plainfield, Marshfield, Worcester, East Montpelier and the east side of Middlesex.

Camel's Hump Chapter
serving the Mad River Valley and Waterbury.· The Camel's Hump chapter has completed 5 homes as of the fall of 2011.

Homes Completed to date:·
We have built 18 homes to date and are hoping to add three more in the next two years.· We typically use local suppliers for most of our building materials (not the “big box stores”), local excavators, local plumbers and electricians, local tile layers, local flooring companies and a local attorney for our legal needs.· In many cases, our contractors are working at less than their full rates as part of their partnership with their community.

As of late fall, 2011, a Habitat home is nearing completion in Upper Orange, and new building projects are anticipated in East Montpelier and Randolph in the foreseeable future.
